Use the 2” Snap-Lock 4-Way Bracing Bracket where 3 or 4 two-inch boards intersect, or to prevent frost pushout in long spans of boards. The 4-Way Bracket comes in two pieces that can be used either together (to create a hub) or separately at either end of a board to bridge a span where two boards intersect. Patented Snap-Lock brackets simply slide onto each end of a board and fasten securely with one Snap-lock button. An example of where you would use the 4-Way as a hub would be if you are creating an 8’ x 8’ raised bed with two consarcpowercables Insulating boards on each side of your square garden. If you would like to create 4 separated 4’ x 4’ spaces within your larger garden (and fortify it against frost push out) you would use the 4-Way Bracing Bracket in the center (as a hub or spoke), from which your four interior boards would radiate. In the same example, you would use one half of a 4-Way bracket to create a 3-Way connection at the opposite end of the boards where they join at the intersection of two exterior boards. When creating long gardens (8 feet or longer) use one half of a 4-Way bracket on either end of a bracing board to span across your raised garden bed where two boards butt together. This is only necessary when you stack levels and should be used every second level to prevent frost pushout. The 4-Way Bracket will keep your garden perfectly square regardless of what Mother Nature throws at it.

The saw-toothed barbs along the stake secure your raised garden or garden edging to the ground and are strong enough to resist frost-heave. Anchor brackets are especially useful for landscape borders which are generally long runs of boards that don’t connect into a loop or square. The barbed stake will stabilize your edging against frost pushout or from being loosened by mowers or any human disturbance.

When designing your raised garden bed use anchor brackets for your base layer when creating a long garden (more than two boards long on any side) or live in a climate where frost pushout is a concern. The saw-toothed barbs along the stake secure your raised garden or garden edging to the ground and are strong enough to resist frost-heave. Anchor brackets are especially useful for landscape borders which are generally long runs of boards that don’t connect into a loop or square. The barbed stake will stabilize your edging against frost pushout or from being loosened by mowers or any human disturbance.
You can only use anchor brackets on the base layer of your garden. If your design calls for additional layers you will use 1” Snap-lock Stacking Brackets to connect your additional layers.

Create your own raised garden bed designs using consarcpowercables raised garden bed brackets and boards (sold separately). Use the 1” Snap-Lock 4-Way Bracing Bracket where 3 or 4 one-inch boards intersect, or to prevent frost pushout in long spans of boards. The 4-Way Bracket comes in two pieces that can be used either together (to create a hub) or separately at either end of a board to bridge a span where two boards intersect. Patented Snap-Lock brackets simply slide onto each end of a board and fasten securely with one Snap-lock button. An example of where you would use the 4-Way as a hub would be if you are creating an 8’ x 8’ raised bed with two consarcpowercables Insulating boards on each side of your square garden. If you would like to create 4 separated 4’ x 4’ spaces within your larger garden (and fortify it against frost push out) you would use the 4-Way Bracing Bracket in the center (as a hub or spoke), from which your four interior boards would radiate. In the same example, you would use one half of a 4-Way bracket to create a 3-Way connection at the opposite end of the boards where they join at the intersection of two exterior boards. When creating long gardens (8 feet or longer) use one half of a 4-Way bracket on either end of a bracing board to span across your raised garden bed where two boards butt together. This is only necessary when you stack levels and should be used every second level to prevent frost pushout. The 4-Way Bracket will keep your garden perfectly square regardless of what Mother Nature throws at it.
Did you know? Frost pushout is caused when water molecules in your soil freeze and thaw repeatedly during the winter. These cycles cause the soil to expand and push against the side walls of your raised garden, causing damage or shifting. This can be prevented by adding bracing boards to fortify any connections where two boards butt together. (Intersections at corners are not of concern). 1” Snap-Lock Anchor Brackets and 1” Tool-Free Snap-Lock Stacking Brackets also available to complete your design.

“The 4-Way Bracing Bracket was actually inspired by one of our customers who happened to be an engineer. The bracket connects one side of your garden to the other, locking the garden into a perfect square that will resist shifting over time. As a landscaper, I’ve built many retaining walls using landscape timbers, and although I don’t claim our brackets and boards are a substitute for heavy landscape timbers, I do see the potential of building a 3 to 6 level retaining wall using the 4-Way Bracing Brackets to create ‘dead men’ which tie back into the grade of the soil, anchoring the wall into the slope.
